Anchorage

Alicia - Outfitter

This summer marks my fourth season with Princess Tours. I started working for Princess with my sister when I was 16 years old.  I decided to join Princess Tours because I have always been interested in the tourism industry and I wanted to find out whether or not I was interested in pursuing a career in tourism.  I am now 19 and ....more

Linda - Outfitter

I started working for Princess Tours in May of 1998. I was a newly retired elementary school teacher. I knew Princess was a very organized business because my husband and I several years prior to retirement took a Caribbean cruise with them. I remember ....more

Steve - Driver Guide

My wife Linda had been working for Princess Tours for about eight years when she suggested I might enjoy driving a motor coach on Saturdays. At that point, the largest vehicle I had ever driven was probably a Ford F250. So ....more

Jo - Driver Guide

The reason I applied for a job with princess is because after driving school buses for 25 years, I was ready for a change. I wanted to be with people who were happy to see you sitting in the drivers' seat....more

Ron - Driver Guide

I became involved in the cruise industry specifically as a driver-guide during the summer of 2008. Several couples and individuals who have worked for Princess for many years as Outfitters/Passenger Service Representatives, had been encouraging me to give it a try. Some had been trying for two or three years. They have all enjoyed their time with Princess and continue to return year after year. They had been telling me about....more

Christine - Guest Services Assistant Manager

I started my 'Alaska Summer Job' with Princess Tours. I was the receptionist for the Anchorage Transportation Division. A few seasons later I became one of the logistics coordinator. One summer led to another, and another, and another. I enjoyed every position I held and the environment I worked in very much. The one thing that impressed upon me each season....more

Fairbanks

Nancy - Training and Transportation Supervisor

I first started working for Princess in 2002 as a driver-guide in Ketchikan, Alaska. I had recently graduated from college and wanted to take one year off before I committed to graduate school. I saw an ad for PrincessJobs.com on the internet and I applied on a whim. I had applied after the training deadline, so I didn't think I had a chance.....more

Carly - Driver Guide

It's February, and I've hit a cross roads. I'm about to graduate from college and I don't know what to do. Should I take that big job offer in Washington D.C., or take my grad school admission, or something completely different? I happened to choose completely different.....more

Chambray - Outfitter

Out of all the jobs I've had, I can truly say that working for Princess truly has been the best experience. The managers are all very nice, the supervisors almost always are fun, and it makes the atmosphere a lot better when times could otherwise be stressful. This year however.....more

Ashley - Driver Guide

My husband and I met someone last summer who used to work for Princess on the train. She told me how much she loved it and that I should look into it. We went online and saw the Driver/Guide Position and knew that is what we would want to do. We applied and got hired. We drove up to Fairbanks from Bend, OR in April for training. It is great to be somewhere with people who actually love their jobs.....more

Elizabeth - Driver Guide

It's 2:30 in the morning, and I'm cresting the hill on Ballaine, headed south. The peaks of the Alaska Range rise up out of the pavement, monstrous purple and frosted pink. This is why it is good to be awake at this hour.....more

Christina - Administrative Assistant

A Princess Tours Life Adventure Story! Working for Princess since 2002 has been a pleasure! I started as an Outfitter in 2002 as a summer job back in my high school years. It proved to be fun, fast paced, and exciting to work in tourism and being my first real job, I had a real sense of accomplishment and pride when I was giving guests my best in customer service. I really liked talking to people from around the world and sharing with them the state I have called home since 1999, after moving from Tampa, FL. The speeches we gave on the coaches, called expedites, were my favorite thing to do. After all, I was one of the first smiling faces they saw on their trip and I wanted to make a good first impression! (You should know.....more

Gary - Driver Guide

Hi there. My name is Gary Braden. I'm from Greenbrier County, West Virginia. My summer started April 23rd when I landed in Fairbanks, AK at 10:30am. My friend picked me up at the airport and we went to his house, ate lunch and proceeded to cut up a moose calf for what seemed like forever! Then I saw my first live moose and her calf. WOW!.....more

Heidi - Driver Guide

I have lived in Alaska for 3 years and I leave soon. Working for princess has introduced me to so many new things to do in our area. Pre-season we were fully educated about Alaska and it's history and now I actually wish.....more

Jill - Driver Guide

I have begun my 5th year working for Princess Tours in Alaska. When I started, I had taken a leave of absence from my previous job so I would have a safety net in case I didn't like being a driver/guide. After 3 weeks I called and said I was not going back! I found a job that is.....more

Reagan - Logistics Coordinator

Princess was my first real job. I was hired when I sixteen to make welcome envelopes for guests. My mom already worked as a coach driver for them and she recommended I apply. My second season I wanted a chance to get out of the office, so I applied to be an outfitter. The job terrified me at first because I was pretty sure I was entirely incompetent at dealing with people. With the help of a great supervisor and awesome coworkers, I gained a lot of confidence and quickly got over the fears I had about talking to guests. My fourth season I became an outfitter supervisor, and I loved almost every minute of it.....more

Wade - Driver Guide
