Juneau
Alaska's capitol is the state's third largest city (approximately 30,000 people). Juneau is a coastal town, nestled between the 1,500 square mile Juneau Icefield and Gastineau Channel. The city is accessible only by airplane or boat. While somewhat remote, Juneau has all of the amenities of a mid-sized city. Endless trails depart from town taking you into some of the most pristine wilderness in the country. The Mendenhall Glacier, one of the most highly photographed glaciers in Alaska, is located within the city limits. Juneau prides itself in its history dating back to the late 1800's when gold was discovered in a nearby creek.

There are many options for housing due to the seasonal nature of the Legislative Session that compliments the tour season. We provide you with options to live in housing that has been pre-arranged, or to look for housing independently, allowing you the freedom to choose your roommates and housemates. Transportation
For Driver-Guides, roundtrip transportation is provided to and from Seattle, with a fixed additional rate provided from recruiting divisions. For those Driver-Guides that would like to make their own way to and from Alaska, a fixed rate reimbursement will be provided.
